The 2 sided foot files work like to a pumice stone except not as harsh to removal of hard dead dry or cracked skin. The first side (Purple) is ideal for removing the harder cracked skin and the smoother (lilac) side will smooths and remove the soft layers of skins. Used when foot is dry. They do wear down over time like sandpaper.
